Patient Safety Indicator Reporting

The Ontario government has introduced full public reporting on eight patient safety indicators as part of a comprehensive plan to create an unprecedented level of transparency in Ontario’s hospitals

Four of the eight safety indicators apply to Homewood Health Centre including reporting on hospital acquired Clostridium difficile (C. difficile), Methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA), and Vancomycin-resistant Enterococci (VRE) infection rates and Hand Hygiene compliance among health care workers.

Homewood Health Centre takes your care and your safety seriously. Tracking our rates allows us to identify areas for improvement and implement strategies to reduce the incidence of infection at our hospital.

Additional information on each indicator is available in the links below. If you have questions about the information posted or about our hospital’s Infection Prevention and Control program, please call 519-824-1010 ext.2296.
